I love being a dentist. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people, and the friendships that I’ve built with my patients and their families are one in a million. It has always been my focus to make each patient feel at home when they come to me for treatment and I work hard to give my patients the attention they deserve.
Education/Experience
My education in dentistry has provided me with a strong foundation of knowledge and experience. I was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela where I achieved my Dental Degree with honors at the Central University of Venezuela in 1996; I then accomplished an internship for two years at the Santa Rosa Maxillofacial Surgery Center in Caracas.
In 1999, I moved to San Juan, Puerto Rico to complete my Postdoctoral Program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus. After graduating in 2003, I returned to Venezuela and actively worked in private practice at the Santa Rosa Maxillofacial Surgery Center for eight years. I was also a Consultant Professor in the OMS Department at the Central University of Venezuela since 2004 and a Board Member of the Venezuelan Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons for four years.
In 2011, I relocated to San Antonio, Texas and became a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Texas, Health Science Center, San Antonio until December, 2014. I am dedicated to the private practice of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, maintaining an academic affiliation as an Adjunct Professor at the Dental School, UTHSCSA one day a week.
Continuing Education
By regularly participating in continuing education, I am aware of the latest technology and dental treatments. My patients deserve the best, and continuing education allows me to provide my patients with more options and better results.
My major areas of interest included: dento-alveolar surgery, osseointegrated implants, alveolar reconstruction, maxillofacial trauma and pathology amongst others.
Commitment to Community
I am truly blessed to live and work in such a wonderful community. I enjoy getting to know my patients and their families, and it is such an honor to know that I have made a difference in so many of my patients’ lives. I couldn’t ask for a better job or for better people sharing their smiles with me. I look forward to working with you.
